Apr 4, 2014. In posting the next progress pic, I want to say that I have 2 accomplishments with this shirt. First, the shoulders, of course; but the other is creating a bust without large obvious holes.
Mar 20, 2014. This outfit is named after its yarn color, Parrot. It is one of 3 REALLY pretty yarns that I couldn't resist buying, so now I'm stuck making something really cool out of them. I'm hoping that this will be a suitable summer dress/shirt. The shoulder of the shirt is borrowed from the original Frilly Shirt. This photo is the first run-through of the updated pattern, mostly just cutting off the frills and widening the shoulder a bit. Then the shoulder was too wide for some reason, and so I took it apart to make the correct size (can't afford to waste this yarn). Soon I'll have the "real" shirt ready, and then I can start the skirt.
