My boyfriend went first, getting the autograph from a photo provided (he bought a comic book, but was unsure of the Sharpie's abilities to mark the shiny cover). Then it was my turn; I turned in my ticket (proof of payment for the sig), and placed my print on the table and slid it toward him. Less dramatically, I balanced my binder and box of Octagon on part of the table as well.
ME: I'd like to show you something, if that's all right. BODYGUARD 1: She wants to show you something. [STAN: Oh.] ME: (Fumble with the string, trying to find the right side. I put it down next to the paper) That's crochet, (a little louder just in case) I crocheted that. BODYGUARD 1: She crocheted that. STAN: That's crochet? ME: Yep. It's (circle the area with my finger) that corner right there. STAN: There's talent everywhere you look. Where do I sign? ME: Oh anywhere. STAN: NO anywhere, tell me where to sign. ME: (Smiling) Um…across this side. (Slide-point with my finger again) STAN: (Turns the page, carefully and deliberately marks the page. Passes it back to me) Extra special for you. :) ME: Thank youuuuu! :D (while I turn and leave)
