I found a horrible 10-stitch mistake in the pattern! I've unlisted it on Etsy but not here, I'll have to delay delivery if anyone happens to buy it...
...And it turns out that I've actually knitted it wrong too, all the second wing and head need to MOVE 10 STITCHES! 30 hours I have to desperately redo! waaaah! :'( I could probably have saved all my effort today if I had just realized something was wrong when I tried to line up the knitting with the drawing...the head and second wing were fine, but they were too close to the big wing...stupid blind eye to huge flags!
But what seems to have happened is that I wrote the whole part of what I've already knitted proportionately off-site, so I think I'll just continue with what I've done, and hope I can jimmy all the rest of the picture along with it.
Deadline to submit is next week, and I have to be 3/5 done with the dragon (personal goal) or else I can't enter it...I really expect it to get at best honorable mention, there's naught special about it except it was made from a photo...simple knits and back weaves, not much in the way of design I think, but we'll see...progress pic coming later tonight.
FEEDBACK NEEDED: The winged horse is going to be my next knitted picture. Should I keep the moon outline on the horse, or get rid of it? It doesn't seem right when there's still dusk light in the scene...

I finally realize the importance of the dated progress page...it shows just how much I'm actually working!
