Time sure is slipping by! I know I haven't been posting any projects or progress pics, but I'm most assuredly working on them! Probably too many, if it takes so long to get a picture...anyway, today I'm writing to express that some of my patterns are getting price changes. It's mostly the early ones, which were priced QUITE unfairly to me, at a time before I truly understood the value of my labor. They are rising to around half of their true value, and in perhaps another year, will rise once more and completely. Lucky those who have already purchased them at the insanely good price. :)

As "Ohana" nears completion, several days are passing in which I have naught to post. However, I am not sitting idly. I am in fact crocheting a set of 7 vests for my family's Christmas gifts, and I have completed 3 so far. I can't post progress pictures, mainly to protect the surprise. My family knows they will receive a vest (I had to take their measurements), but they don't know anything else about it.
My website is long overdue for an overhaul. I finally finished a Evie, an also long-overdue project, and I reopened Johnny Depp, which was like stepping back to the Dark Ages. I am currently about halfway through the overhaul, and looking back at the projects from 2 years ago...wow. Johnny Depp is only 6 months ago, the first knitted pictures are like the Bronze Age. I can only hope that by the end of my lifetime, Evie will seem like Stone Age work.
What an intense week! Captain America/Steve Rogers was finally finished Thursday, and there was MUCH more detail to him than there was to Loki—however, they were both finished in relatively equal amounts of time, which means that the next ones should not take much longer! I do fear the beards, though…lots of beards coming up…
For pics of what I've done this week, click "Read More" It's been not so busy, thinking up and starting lots of projects and not finishing anything. The social life has been getting in the way. But I made a dragon semi-hat a couple of weeks ago, forgot about it, and finally realized that it would be a much better hairband than the hard plastic things I've got, even the normal bands! It keeps all of my hair out of my face without pulling on my scalp and giving me headaches! All hairs include shoulder length in the back (which would sneak around the hairclips and traditional headband), and the bangs (which are the perfect length and curl to stab me in the eyes whenever I consider looking downward). I'm going to make a "My Pet-Hairband: Bat" before I fix the dragon. Or maybe it'll be a "Bat Pet-Hairband"...
And of course, I'm still 2 hours away from my camera, so I CANNOT take any decent photos and get this stuff posted properly! ARGH! I have received a commission to adjust the 1/2 K/C shirt pattern, so I've been working on that for the past couple of days...hopefully it will be ready by tomorrow!
I've also begun a scarf with a dragon pic on it, and I want to make a hat in the shape of a dragon--and if that succeeds, I will also make one out of a bat, and possibly a bird, and other creatures with wide areas of skin. And a metamorphosing toy that flips from an egg to a caterpillar to a cocoon to a butterfly! That would probably take more yarn than I've got, but it would be REALLY neat to make! I have been gifted various skeins of old yarn (yay!), so there will be several small creatures available shortly! They will also be limited in number, since the yarn colors and textures may no longer be readily available...
Now I have a basic shipping rate for local and nearby internationals, the animals are ready to be sold!
Ground rate, and delay is 1-2 weeks, mainly to make sure I have animals to sell if they're ordered when there are too few. Application for the license has been submitted, should be granted in a couple of weeks or so!
