Well, I sewed a costume together, but there doesn't seem to be a place for it in the main website. There is, however, place for the knitted version, which is on the table of current projects. That blue dragon, though...I got to wear it to a taping of "Let's Make a Deal!" I'm quite proud of it, I had to whip it out in a week (with a couple of days to plan it), and it barely fit, and I barely finished it in time...I literally worked on it until I got in line. There were some technical issues, of course; first sewn stuffed animal/costume combo, not enough time to get it right. However, the pattern is being perfected while I knit it, and then it will be for sale in my Etsy shop.
Deadline to submit is next week, and I have to be 3/5 done with the dragon (personal goal) or else I can't enter it...I really expect it to get at best honorable mention, there's naught special about it except it was made from a photo...simple knits and back weaves, not much in the way of design I think, but we'll see...progress pic coming later tonight.
It was somewhat disappointing. I struggled to make plenty of animals and only a few sold. Hopefully I did enough advertisement to sell online now, and then make enough to go to the next festival. I suppose the weather can take some blame, though my prices seem to be the biggest deterrent...it was cloudy, and then it began to sprinkle, and an hour before the day was over it started raining and we packed up.
I've been awake since 5 this morning, slept for only the 3(or 4) hours before, and want to eat and sleep at the same time, yet I have business to attend to...
As a result, I have temporarily removed all inventory from PayPal and either allocated it toward the festival or decided that they shouldn't be sold when I have improved animals available (soon hehe).
The Almond Festival draws closer, and I've been approved for a booth! Time to work desperately on the stuffed animals...
Just a little update, I'm making new colors of animals, and going to figure out flowers to either match with hummingbirds or go alone. Gold butterflies, green and gold hummingbirds, black and light brown for puppies and bunnies, and if I meet the minimum inventory goals, I'll start on multicolors of butterflies and hummingbirds...and then, possibly, I'll be able to figure out a new animal, too.
I just remembered the Almond Festival is about to happen! Remembered just in time, too...I haven't thought about it since last March, and will probably need the entire month and a half to plan for it. Thank the powers that it's not until March 5th...normally it's the last weekend in February. I hope to set up a booth/table there, which means making lots more animals just in case people are interested, hehehe...lots to do in the next month!

I finally realize the importance of the dated progress page...it shows just how much I'm actually working!
